64th EBU General Assembly will take place in Baku

At the 61st session of the General Assembly in November 2008, the EBU and its Members agreed to accept the kind invitation of Ictimai to host the 64th session of the General Assembly in Azerbaijan. At that session and in a subsequent letter, the former President of the EBU, Fritz Pleitgen, thanked Ictimai for its gracious offer and expressed his view that it would “be one of the most memorable general assemblies in the history of the EBU.”

Preparations for the 64th session in Baku were launched immediately following the 63rd session held in Geneva in December 2009. Both Ictimai and the EBU are actively involved in this endeavor and look forward to greeting all delegates at the end of June.
